Product Story
Produced by Yamada Yosuke, a bamboo craftsman from Japan. The craft is stitched with mat weave technique with strips of natural bamboo color and coffee brown. There is no space between each strip. The handle is made crooked in the grace of flame, leaving black singes on.
In the past in Japan, a kakumono was used to store bean curd. This cubical tool makes a perfect protection for the fragile tofu inside. Thanks to the constructional and material nature of a kakumono basket, unwanted water is drained from the food, deepening the very original aroma of soybeans.
