Off Course
Tamotsu Nishimoto
Inspired by the unique features of Hong Kong as a port city, the artisan wove his impression of the place with Takezaiku craftsmanship (a Japanese traditional bamboo craft). The golden embellishments traced the sunlight reflected upon the Victoria Harbour, whilst the shadows outline the rumbling waves. The intertwined but upright bamboo strips symbolize the straightforward personalities and inter-relationship of the people in Hong Kong.
