Hemp Leaf Pattern Tray

Ting is committed to promoting bamboo art culture in Hong Kong and has designed a craft kit deconstructing the steps of making the tray, together with bamboo strips prepared by himself, an instruction manual and a video, for the public to have a taste of bamboo weaving.
The center of the tray combines hexagonal and hemp leaf weaving patterns, giving the impression of a blooming flower when viewed from above. Hemp leaf plaiting is the foundation of bamboo weaving. A batch of bamboo strips with the same thickness is used to weave this simple tray with a folded rim, embodying folk wisdom passed down through the generations.
